PA Resins AB, Perstorp, Sweden, a wholly owned of subsidiary of PA EnerChem SA, is the European production facility and also the location of Group R&D activities.
PA Resins AB, a manufacturer of liquid resins since 1961, achieved a turnover of about 34 million Euros in 2010. It expanded in 2008-2009 into production of powder resins and novolacs through investment in a new production line. This expansion has enabled PA Resins to become a system supplier of more advanced application solutions in the European resin market and a global supplier of powder resins and novolacs.
The acquisition in 2007 of Polyclad’s composite and prepreg business in Perstorp offered an opportunity for integration downstream of the resins business into the composites and prepreg (resin impregnated nonwovens, e.g. glass fibre, carbon fibre etc) businesses.
During 2010, an expansion of the mixing business into PU rigid foam products was completed through the acquisition of Minova CarboTech's Rigid PU (polyurethane) business.
